How hotels and restaurants use large-scale botanical murals, and how to make Palmera work at architectural scale.

The tropical mural is the signature wall of contemporary Southeast Asian hospitality, from resort lobbies in Langkawi to rooftop bars in Kuala Lumpur. Done well, it frames the guest's photograph and becomes part of the brand.

Scale up, then scale again

Botanical murals read best when leaves are larger than life. A monstera leaf a metre across on a lobby wall feels immersive, while the same design at domestic scale can look like wallpaper. Ask us to scale the artwork to your wall height rather than tiling it.

Let the palette do the zoning

Deep greens and inky backgrounds pull a long corridor in and make it feel intimate. Pale grounds with sparse fronds open up small rooms. Palmera covers both ends, across 71 designs.

Specify for traffic

Lobbies and corridors take luggage trolleys and fire inspections. Use DuraFlex FR or Fabric Backed FR+ there, and save the soft-hand Luxe Elegance NW for suites.

Photograph it before you print it

Use the Room Visualiser to place a design on a photo of your space and share it with the client before samples are cut.
