Specifying
Can you print a design to my exact wall size?

Yes. Every VÉLLANO mural is printed to the dimensions you give us. We scale and crop the artwork to your wall, add bleed for trimming, and split it into numbered panels sized to the chosen material's print width.

What do you need from me to prepare a proposal?

The design code (or your artwork), the material, and the width × height of each wall in millimetres, with doors, windows and sockets marked. A photo or elevation of each wall helps. The Project Request form collects all of this in about two minutes.

Can you recolour a design to match our scheme?

Yes. Give us Pantone or NCS references, or a paint or fabric sample. We adjust the artwork and print a strike-off on your chosen material for approval before production.

Can I print my own artwork, logo or photography?

Yes. Bespoke artwork is a core part of the VÉLLANO service. Aim for 100 dpi or more at final printed size and send vector, PSD, TIFF or high-quality JPEG files. Use the Artwork Checker to test your file first.

Do you supply projects outside Malaysia?

We supply projects across Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak, and regionally including Singapore. Tell us the project location in your request and we will confirm logistics.

How long does production take?

Lead time depends on quantity, material and approvals. We confirm a production and delivery date with your proposal, once the artwork and strike-off are approved.

Materials
Which materials are fire-rated?

Fabric Backed FR+ and DuraFlex FR are both classified B-s1,d0 (EN 13501-1) and ASTM E84 Class A. Specify one of them for corridors, healthcare, education and any area in a fire-engineering report.

What's the widest seamless print you can do?

The Luxe non-woven range prints up to 124 in (3.15 m) wide. Small-width materials print up to 39 in (Eco range), 51 in (fire-rated range) or 57 in (Canvas HD+).

What's the difference between paper-back, fabric-back and non-woven?

Paper-backed is crisp and economical for rooms, fabric-backed is the durable fire-rated commercial standard, and non-woven is dimensionally stable, easy to strip and available in wide widths. The Journal article on print bases explains each in detail.

Which material for high-traffic corridors?

DuraFlex FR or Fabric Backed FR+ for fire-rated public routes. For commercial areas that need durability without a fire rating, Luxe Artistry NW is certified ASTM F793 Type II.

Which material for humid areas?

The Eco paper-backed range has an applied antifungal resin layer. In any humid area, prime with an alkali-resistant moisture-prevention primer and use a mould-resistant adhesive. Printed wallcovering is not for wet zones such as showers.

Certifications
Is the ink safe and odourless for bedrooms and nurseries?

Yes. Small-width materials are printed with Canon UVgel ink, which is GREENGUARD Gold certified, VCL-free, emits no hazardous air pollutants and has been evaluated odourless to DIN EN ISO 16000-28. Wide-width materials use a UL ECOLOGO and GREENGUARD Gold certified water-based latex ink system.

Can I download certificates for my tender submission?

Yes. The Downloads library lists the EU fire classification, GREENGUARD Gold, AgBB, M1, French A+ and odour reports, plus every material's spec sheet. Request the full Project Specification Kit and we will send it to you.

Samples
How do I get samples?

Add designs or materials to your Spec Board and choose Request Samples, or use the Sample Request form. We cut A4 samples of your chosen design on your chosen material, and we can also send the material swatch set.

Can I get a full-size strike-off before production?

For colour-critical or bespoke work, yes. We print a section at full scale on the specified material for your sign-off.

Installation & care
How is it installed?

Like a commercial wallcovering, panel by panel in numbered sequence. Walls must be smooth, dry, sound and primed. Hang three panels and inspect before continuing. We recommend an experienced wallcovering installer and can refer one.

What adhesive should be used?

Pure methyl-cellulose paste for paper-backed bases and murals, and a heavy-duty ready-mixed adhesive with good slip and high initial tack for vinyl and fabric-backed bases. Add a mould-resistant additive in humid locations. Window films are self-adhesive.

What wall preparation is needed?

Remove old wallpaper, repair and skim uneven areas, and test existing paint with the tape test (cut an X, apply tape, pull: clean tape means sound paint). Prime new plaster, powdery or dark walls with a suitable wallpaper primer. Glossy paint must be sanded or primed.

How do I clean it?

Wipe with a soft damp sponge and mild soap, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid solvents, bleach and abrasive pads. Fabric-backed materials are scrubbable.

Why might seams open or bubbles appear, and how is that avoided?

Almost always wall preparation or paste. Thirsty walls such as new plaster and skim coat draw paste out too fast, so prime them first. Don't over-dilute paste, give paper-backed panels the full soaking time, and avoid over-stretching panels on the wall. Small paste bubbles disappear within 24 hours as the panel dries.

Window films
Frosted, one-way vision or clear: which do I need?

Frosted for privacy with light (meeting rooms, clinics, bathrooms). One-way vision for a full graphic outside while people inside still see out (shopfronts, street-facing offices). Clear for stained-glass effects and logos on glass. Self-adhesive white for opaque graphics.
